Responsibilities

We’re looking for Senior Back-end Developer to lead our projects to success by engaging their teams and inspiring clients to collaborate to accomplish common goals: cost-saving, timely delivery, and quality are the most important things we aim for.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Apply AI-assisted development tools to speed up coding, testing, refactoring, and documentation tasks.
• Analyze, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries for high-performance data access, especially on large datasets.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for various client projects.
• Build and integrate APIs for seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
• Optimize application performance to ensure stability and scalability for global users.
• Ensure code quality through thorough testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in development, staging, and production environments.
• Lead and mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices, architecture, and project workflows.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, designers, and project managers to ensure timely project delivery.
• Stay updated with the latest backend technologies and trends, continuously improving the team’s skills and processes.
• Communicate proactively with the Project Manager, Quality Control engineers, and other team members to continuously develop new features and improve project quality.
• Adjust oneself to fit and grow with the company’s core value.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience working with web-based applications.
• Strong knowledge and experience with PHP Laravel.
• Experience with Java or Node.js is a plus and will be considered based on project needs.
• Proficient in working with relational databases, especially big database processing.
• Strong working experience with RESTful API.
• Experienced in applying AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude Code…) to speed up designing, coding, testing, refactoring, and documentation tasks.
• Deep understanding of SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and working with large datasets.
• Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (SQS, RabbitMQ).
• Experienced in using Git, GitHub, Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experienced in coding with unit testing.
• Good knowledge in configuration & troubleshooting web server problems.
• Good knowledge in developing frontend applications.
• Practical experience using the MVC architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, Firestore or MongoDB
• Previous experience working with clients from Japan
• Experience in macroservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with other backend or frontend technologies is a plus.

• Excellent critical thinking & problem-solving skills.
• Ability to research and understand technical documentation in English
• Strong leadership skills.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with design patterns.
• Ability to quickly learn new backend programming languages to adopt the needs of the project.
• Previous experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactiveness in exploring and adopting new AI-powered technologies into your development workflow.
