Quality Control Engineer (Senior)

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test strategies and QC plans aligned with project objectives
• Allocate testing tasks and responsibilities among QC team members
• Conduct risk assessment and identify potential quality bottlenecks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, BA, DevOps) to establish quality gates and processes
• Lead final release testing activities, including end-to-end testing
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level QC engineers
• Continuously improve testing skills, including automation, performance, and security testing.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
• Knowledge about agile/scrum software development
• Strong experience with both manual and automated testing approaches
• Strong experience developing test plans, test cases, and test reports
• Advanced knowledge of web, mobile, and API testing methodologies
• Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
• Excellent analytical skills and systematic thinking
• Have good oral and written communication English skills (TOEIC 600+)
• Excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills

Advanced Skills (Nice to have)

• Good knowledge of or experience in Security and Performance testing (Jmeter, Owasp Zap)
• Experience in testing applications/services deployed on Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Basic coding skills in Java or JavaScript
• Experience in BDD methodologies and tools (Cucumber)
• Innovation mindset and emerging technology awareness
• Strong ownership mentality and accountability for team deliverables
• Japanese language skills (N3 level or equivalent)
